Meet Nancy

Nancy is the driving force behind Nancy's Fancies. She has been a quilter for 17 years.

Using her love of nature as her muse, Nancy seeks to recreate the innate beauty of the world around her. She creates unique nature quilts inpsired by summers spent in the North Woods of Upper Michigan and other places to which she has traveled. Drawing on her experiences, Nancy seeks to recreate the sense of peace and calm that is present in the tranquil environment she finds in nature.

Her quilts are pieced or appliqued with both hard and soft edges. Nancy often hand paints fabrics for her quilts. Accentuating her quilts with hand painting or hand beading makes each of her quilts truly unique and special.

Nancy's holographic quilts are also inspired by her travels. Each of these quilts incorporates one of her nature photographs which has been printed in layers to give a 3-dimensional effect. Holographic quilts are set in a quilted border.

Additionally, Nancy does colored pencil drawings. As with her quilts, her travels and love of nature inspire these drawings.
